With a large company business background, I have lived in Ashford Borough for nineteen years. I was on Ashford Borough Council for four years from 2011 to 2015, representing Downs West, with two years on the Cabinet, as Planning Portfolio Holder.
I was elected to Kent County Council in May 2021, representing Ashford Rural South Division, where I work with seven Parish Councils, eight Ashford Borough Councillors and deal with the worries and concerns of about fourteen thousand residents.
I am also Deputy Cabinet Member for Economic Development, and my key priorities, at the moment, are helping to run the Kent and Medway Business Fund, which provides interest free loans to small businesses, and running a project to try and get Small Modular Nuclear Reactors into Dungeness, to help us achieve Net Zero, Energy Security and Affordable Energy.
